Today...July 2nd

Today I will marry my best friend…that’s the first thing that comes to mind, but I’ve already written about that so…Today I will…go to Chiricos to eat lunch—so excited about that, participate in the last SI of 2010-not too excited about it being our very last day. Although I am excited it is my first official day of summer break, I feel sad to leave my colleagues and friends. Today I will learn of my blood test results from yesterday—nervous about that, finish the laundry and clean the house—oh my wifely duties--not excited about that, hopefully take the dogs to the park. Now that will be my relaxation today.
I love when we take the dogs to the park. We usually take them to the pond area. The dogs absolutely love it. Gauge sometimes gets to go swimming, if there aren’t a whole lot of fishermen there. Barkley is just happy to be there. He loves walking, and he absolutely loves peeing on everything! Boy the scents he smells there. As we walk around the pond, Barkley and Gauge stop every few steps to smell something new and interesting to them. It sometimes gets on my nerves, but they love it. I wish we could go to the park more often with them. With building the house and working late, Brandon hardly ever has time to go. And I am too chicken to take them by myself because Gauge is too big for me to control sometimes, especially while being pregnant. Nonetheless, it is a great time for our little family to take a break, breathe a little, forget all the stress of our lives, and enjoy the scenery. I can’t wait!
