National Poetry Month was begun in 1996 and is celebrated every year during the month of April. The TCs at Coalfield Writers have a soft spot for poetry and all of us (yes, ALL of us) have a bit of the poet in us (albeit some more than others!) Several of our TCs have divided up the month of April between us and have agreed to take on the responsiblity of posting something poetically related every day during National Poetry Month. So first, we invite you back each day to see what new goodies have arrived. Secondly, we invite you to post, as well. Simply add your poems, your students' poems, your poetry teaching ideas, anything poety-related to the comments at the bottom of the page (you will need to be logged in, first.) I personally can't wait to see what fabulous things our posters have in store, and I am especially excited to see what our other TCs are posting. Happy Poetry Month!!! |
