If you are more comfortable composing outside the website, use Notepad, then copy/paste your text into the box. (Word, Works, and other more robust desktop publishing programs will cause additional characters to be copied into your text: their "smart quotes" feature. If you really want to stay with one of those programs, please change "Straight quotes" to "smart quotes" in "AutoFormat as you type" to get around this issue.)

If you want to add 'fancy' formatting to your text, use Free Online HTML Editor and follow the directions.
